New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio slams Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez over the collapse of Amazon's move to the Big Apple: says she did not UNDERSTAND the $3bn deal

It's a good comprehensive read of each's opnion on the thwarted deal.

My only question is.. how do other major Corporations already doing business feel that they were not offered tax breaks...or were they also? Most likely.

    Top comment, lol..
"It only took AOC six weeks to sink her local economy. Imagine how quickly she would turn the United States into Venezuela"

Keep in mind, she has a degree in Economics.

Investor calls Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez 'financially illiterate' for her role in destroying the Amazon deal at Al Sharpton conference where she unveiled a radical 2020 plan for Democrats

    • Tracy Maitland, president and chief investment officer of Advent Capital Management, was speaking at an Al Sharpton conference in the city
    • Maitland said: 'The people campaigning against the Amazon campus are financially illiterate. I partially blame AOC for the loss of Amazon.'
    • Calling it a 'disgrace' he said AOC needs to be 'better educated' or 'voted out'
    • CUNY chairman also said it had 'snatched away' opportunities from students
    • The Democrat freshman had earlier called for numerous progressive policies
    • She also drew criticism for seeming to affect an accent at the event

    • Another panelist, CUNY chairman Bill Thompson, said that job opportunities were “snatched away” from the predominately black and Latino students of the City University.

“We were at the table talking to Amazon on how students could get jobs … those opportunities were snatched away,” said Thompson, the former city comptroller.
