Former Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) railed against the NAACP, Jay-Z and others in a Facebook post Wednesday, criticize them for not speaking out about another crime like they did over Trayvon Martin's killing.

West referred to another incident in Florida that took place on July 10, where three teenagers were arrested for beating a 13-year-old student on a school bus. The Tampa Tribune reported earlier:

The victim said he encountered at least one of the suspects in a school restroom where he alleged that the suspect tried to sell drugs to him, police said.

The victim reported this to school officials, and at the end of the day, both victim and suspect rode home on the same bus, according to police. As the bus was stopping near the intersection, the three suspects started punching and kicking the victim for nearly a full minute. As he tried to crawl under the seat, the suspects kicked and stomped on him.

"Do you hear anything from Sharpton, Jackson, NAACP, Stevie Wonder, Jay-Z, liberal media, or Hollywood?" West wrote on Facebook after referring to the incident. "Cat got your tongues or is it that pathetic hypocrisy revealing itself once again? Y'all just make me sick."

West has criticized “race-baiters” in the past, saying in July “faux leaders” like Rev. Al Sharpton and Attorney General Eric Holder were making the Martin case a racial issue. He also slammed "the usual suspect race baiters and progressive media" in a July Facebook post, saying he's "tired of white liberals invoking the heinous memory of lynchings.”

So because people spoke out against the injustice of George Zimmerman admitting to murder and NOT being arrested, we now have to speak out against EVERY crime that's reported in the news???lol

If local police were told about that school bus beat down and refused to investigate or arrest the suspects, people would speak out about it.

Someone please tell me when did it become the new conservative strategy to pretend racism doesn't exist and is something made up by liberals and Black folks??

Or that anyone who brings up the incidence of racism is 'race baiting'??

Is Allen West that dumb?? He doesn't understand the initial outrage over the Trayvon Martin case?? Or is he pandering to the right wing to get re-elected to Congress??:smt102

Remember that Trayvon Martin was a well known thug with a lengthy and well documented criminal history of engaging in violence. At least that's the picture that individuals here who are of a similar mindset to West were all painting to show that Zimmerman was justified in killing Martin & that race didn't play any part in Zimmerman's motivations. A thug was served justice. Nothing to be outraged about.......

Allen West is what I called as I did in other threads:Friend of Uncle Ruckus. He is beginning to be like him but in a three piece suit. FOR's always think racism does not exist and would not admit to racist encounters with police and Whites. It would be a tresure for me to see on You Tube a FOR being roughed up by Whites or policemen.

Another false equivalency argument, intended to detract from the given crime people might be protesting about. ANY violence is deplorable. However, you can be (and it's commonplace for people to feel this way) particularly angry about crime committed against a person who is not involved in criminal activity in any way more so than you are about crime occurring between parties to criminal activity. It appears that the kid being beaten was not involved in any activity, just reporting it. If that is the case, his attack is also appalling. Neither crime strips the other victim of their legitimacy. These are not competing grievances
