Alicia Key's Hubby Swizz Beatz Has Russian Baby Mama

Trix we all know what excessive is. I layed it out pretty well I think. Like I said beyond the things needed to make one self sufficient nothing should be owed to you and if I amassed a large amount of wealth why is it anyone's choice who I leave it to. As long as I've fulfilled my obligations I don't get why my kid is entitled to what's essentially the GDP of a small third world nation. And only because they didn't live with me. If my kid lives with me and I don't give him/her a red cent outside of the basics that's cool but if they don't live with me I owe them millions?
Seriously how does that sound?

If your kid lives with you, he or she lives your lifestyle. Are they entitled to less because they don't?

I disagree that we "all know" what excessive is. It differs depending on the financial status of the parent. Lots of working class parents would think what I did was excessive. Lots of rich parents would have thought I didn't do enough.

And yes, if you live with your kid you can make them sleep in tiny bedroom deprive them of toys, go to a crappy school, whatever you like as long as it doesnt meet the legal definition of neglect or abuse. When you are no longer, or never have been, married to the child's other parent, the state gets involved and the decision to make your child live as though you were a manual laborer when you're a millionaire is taken out of your hands. That's how the law works. Lesson: Don't have kids out of wedlock and marry someone you can love and/or work with for 20 years. The state makes the decisions they consider to be in the best interests of the child, and the state thinks the best interest is served by allowing the child to live the best lifestyle the parents can afford.

I've technically only been a single Mom for the last 2 1/2 years, and their personalities were well formed prior to that. But still, even if you buy expensive things, you can still teach a child to appreciate the value of money. My ex is a spend-thrift and always has been, he never met a material possession he didn't want to own. Yet neither of our children are like that. The saving grace is likely that he took no interest in their upbringing, and that I recognized that as a negative attribute of his and made sure to counteract it. So I maintain that regardless of how much you have, or how much you spend, you can still teach a child responsibility.

I am curious now, for the purposes of discussion, what do you consider wealthy?

Dude that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. So basically if I live well not onl;y are my kids entitled to live well which I agree with but they are entitled to ownership of my property? That's ridiculous.

I tell you what. If you are worried that your kids will have ownership of your property when you die, I will be a friend. I'll take the burden of having ownership of your property. It what a true friend would do.

This is a waste of time topic. No one has to give their kids anything when they die. Just don't include them in your will.

I'm not sure he's talking about after he's dead, but I'm honestly lost as I don't see that Pixie was referencing property transfer in her post?

At any rate, you are correct, as long as you have a will in place upon your death, you get to choose who gets what. Though I have to say, I cannot imagine not including my children in my will. I just redid mine and there are only 3 people I really wanted to ensure were taken care of, and 2 of them are my children. I would never leave them out, just like I would always support them while I'm alive, I need to know I leave them in good shape when I'm gone.

I agree but how good a shape. In this particular case where does it stop.100 million 200 million it just seems out of control

oh I am not choosy, if he wants to give it to me when he is alive. I will carry this burden for him.

Well who you gonna leave it to if you don't leave it to your children? I mean of course some goes to charity, perhaps other family members, though in my case I decided against that. I would want the bulk of it to go to my children regardless of whether we're talking 1 million or 1 billion. I'm sure not leaving it to my dogs.

50000x12=600000
600000x18= 10.8 million
10.8x4= 43.2 mill ( if I'm not mistaken I think he has a little more than that. No?)

If that is with one child. remember , he has four kids with different women and alicia has one on the way for a total of 5. he will be broke real soon. not to mention he has to pay atty fees. so yeah, you are right on point.

yeah, jordan dont know shit. her stupidity shows over and over

Elementary arithmetic, mr. math teacher.

Why not carpentry, welding or something of that sort. Worst thing that could happen would be lose a limb or something as opposed to fucking up a child's or children's academic future, dumb-ass.

Not ownership. They are entitled to support at the best level you are financially capable of providing.

That's ever so kind of you Arch, I'm sure TDK appreciates your offer of help. :smt042
Heel Queen.....there is only ONE Arch......that imposter's proper nick- name is Angel.......and so, I will acept this compliment as rightfully mine...........Thankyou !..........

My apologies Arch, I wasn't feeling well last night, so it's a wonder I got anyone's name right. In fact this is a small error compared to calling my son by his father's first name last night... got quite a talking to for that one. :smt042

I'll try to make sure that doesn't happen again.
