Airport security question

all the stupid DMV here could give me was printout of wwhat my id is gonna look like. The real copy won't get to me for
a month, and our flight leaves next week.

Please tell me the temporary one can get me through security! I'm so nervous, and I will be crushed if I can't get home to see my mom.

 

i have flown without my driver's license before...misplaced it before a trip...they let me fly anyway...i did have to go early for additional screening...they went through my carryon and i had a female body search me...i would contact tsa in houston just to make sure they will let you fly...they may ask you to bring a student id or another form of identification...then you may have to do the same thing when you are ready to return back home

 

No secondary form of id?

Since you need a passport card to get in and out of Mexico or Canada, I might suggest this as a future investment, especially if you don't envision yourself traveling abroad anytime soon, because Passport rush delivery is $90 and a card is $50.

I highly recommend investing in a secondary form of picture ID, DMV delays are typical, when I had to get a new Licence (switching from Class A back down to Class C) it was about 15-20 days.
