After Observing for Months

Greetings Fam,

I have mixed feelings about introducing myself. I have observed dialogue from the outside for the last 6 months and remain conflicted on whether I have something to contribute to a group with many dysfunctional players, not to mention, sometime totally ugly disagreements between posters from different schools of thought. Perhaps, this is a reflection of society as a whole, the "my way or the highway mentality" but to see it here in abstract discussions that have no bearing on our personal preferences for a mate, makes me wonder if even in our mutual desires for a culture based on preference is more deep seated in justification. But I digress. I definitely have my opinions, my positions, and a clear definition of who I am, what I want, and why... I refuse to lower myself to name-calling and derogatory terms with those who disagree with my views, and will probably cut this thing short as soon as things get stupid.
