Africans are stupid?

Well I was just supporting his claim to facts with some links that say the same thing.

And he wasn't talking about the one hundred millions of people who are still on the continent, but rather of the thousand that migrate in North America. And I think that's where he was making the comparison: between continental Africans who are immigrants and African Americans who have been here for centuries. I quickly dispelled that notion of Africans being more intelligent than African Americans in my post because I don't like the subtext, especially if it's said by a non-African or an individual who isn't black.

Regarding the acrimony between different groups of black, the Swedes think they are better than the Danes, the Greeks from people from Cyprus, the French, better than everybody, the Africans in the Ivory-Coast think they are better than those of Mali and Burkina Faso, those of Camerroon clown their Nigerian neighbors, we in Congo-Kinshasa think we're superior that the people of Congo-Brazzaville on the other side of the river. There are rivalries and petty differences in all cutlures.

But I agree with you, I just don't like it when someone who isn't black claim that one group of black is smarter than another. That's why I stated that most of the Europeans thought they were smarter than white Americans.

 

Sorry to butt in, just wanted to say yes absolutely true Cameroonians do dis there Nigerian neighbours as do vice versa on occassion, have married one dated other.

But the second highlight is just to highlight that the person that made the statement about Africans being smarter, was indeed a black person, ie the original person who made that statement on this thread.

 

I've met smart Africans and smart African Americans but I've also met not so smart Africans and Africans Americans. You get smart and stupid people all over the world.

Oh, I wasn't sure wherther the person who said this was black or not, so just in case. Anyways, it doesn't matter because as an African who lives in the US, I totally disagree with that. You can't compared two groups of people who lived a different reality and have different culture. Like I said, anti-intellectualism is endemic to the American culture in my opinion. You see that in all Americans, so I don't understand why he said Africans were smarter than Black Americans isn't of simply saying they looked more intelligent than "Americans". I didn't like African Americans being singled out.
