Africa is beautiful (pics and landscape,) the Africa that we never see on the tv.

It is always Africa’s most primitive people—the Bushman, Pygmies, and Maasai— who make up less than .001% of Africa’s total population that we see the most on TV, in movies, in magazines, etc. Why? There are more white Africans than there are "primitive people" in Africa, so it's fair to say that the whites will better represent the African continent :)

Thus, I will post pictures of the parts of Africa which for some reason, are never shown on TV or movies in the Western world. I hope this would help clear some myths, misconceptions many people have about the secong largest continent in the world.

North America is famous for Niagara Falls, but how often do we hear about Victoria Falls in Southern Africa? There are both side of the falls, one in Zambia and the other in Zimbabwe. One country was known as North Rhodesia and the other as South Rhodesia.

africa does get a bad rep in US media...

most movies and tv series show Africa as some war-torn, fu*ked up continent, with nothing but jungle, huts, and flies...

i've rarely seen sweeping shots of it's urban landscape like that.

Mach, these were great to see. I especially liked the Lagos pictures as that is where my Mom is living for now (she's in a tiny village near it).

Have you been to Mount Kilimanjaro? I've always wanted to ascend it and of course see Tanzania.

    Thank you for sharing these.
