....not really. Don't care if you're with or against abortion, not asking that. Question. If a pregnant lady wants an abortion and the farther doesn't, do you think he should have any legal rights in the matter?
I'll play serious here. To answer your question, if the father is in the life of the child and mother, then I'd say there should be some grounds of consideration. If the father isn't in the life of the child, nor the mother, then to hell with him. However, the person who makes the final decision ought to be the person bearing the little accident. In this case, the mother.
No he shouldn't. Why? Because there can't be an established law on something that can't be established. After all, who is to say who the actual father is until AFTER the baby is born? Feel me?
How many fathers who aren't planning on being in the kids and mothers life are gonna say keep the baby? If the father isn't in the life then more then likely he'd be the type that would be for the abortion. In terms of a father who is in the life.... The baby you're getting rid of belongs equally to both the mother and the father. So I don't think only the mother should be able to have a say in it.
this is simple the answer is none. when he carries a baby, then he can have a say. his form of consent is a condom or a lack thereof. to me its another way of treating the mother like a vessel and not a human. i find it disgusting.
There are instances where married couples run into this... and the wife ultimately can over ride the husbands wish, even though they are financially and emotionally ready for a child. That is not appropriate imo. However, if they are not in married or in an established relationship, then, as the woman is the one that has to take the inherent risks w childbearing and carry the baby - it is, and should be her choice. When I was teaching during grad school, I had a young man in one of my classes, that was a single father.. he got a girl pregnant, she didn't want it but he did (they were not in a relationship).. so she agreed to carry to term on the premises that he would be the sole custody holder... and he did.. working at night and going to pre-med during the day. He had his parents backing him up and the girl paid child support. Unusual, but awesome!
