I was surfing the internet, as usual, and came across an article which has Obama "cleaning up" accusations that he was a Muslim. Would it be so wrong to have a person of Muslim faith, in the white house? Or maybe, because he is black, some people thought it would be a cool thing, to say he was a Muslim...or better yet...why not just say he was an active member of the Nation of Islam, under Farakhan. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080121/ap_on_el_pr/obama_religion
I think it's pretty obvious that it would be a very tough thing to get a Muslim in the white house. Remember it wasn't very long ago that it was a very big deal to have a Catholic in the white house....and they are Christian. We may have separation of church and state...but how realistic is that really? This is very much a Christian nation, especially when it comes to politics.
If people don't want to vote for him because he's black....that's their prerogative....but all of these red herrings that people are throwing out there is ridiculous.
