On a somewhat related note.

We are currently living in a historic time as far as the art of music goes. We get to witness the first generation whose music will not stand the test of time. Enjoy.

especially rap music. they consider lil wayne the best rapper ever sometime last year in a rap magazine then later on maybe the same magazine kind of dogged him for his lyrical content.

I guess there is a difference between a rapper and a lyrist. I would have assume Eric B and Rakim, Guru and public enemy would have been somewhere in there.

VH1 put Public enemy's fight the power as the number 1 rap song of all time.

 

Only chumps who have never heard MCs from before 2000 call lil wayne the greatest rapper ever. He isn't even among the greats. He's on the wack side, with a few clever rhymes, but for the most part, he is not that great.

 

I freakin LOVE KC and the Sunshine Band! That's IT......I am moving out there!

Boney M were HUGE in Eurpoe, but Roxette had a pretty good run here in the US also.
Save your kisses for me was an awesome song, but maybe that is European too??

Sweden always had some great singers
how can not post them

But i dont think i will be saying much here if some dont even know Abba then i dont think will ever hear some other bands... I listen to some weird music
especialy ESC songs
