I didn't know that...but, I'm not surprised at all. It's always Black folk who suffer the most.

I should make the distinction between Miami and Miami Beach. South Beach is within Miami Beach for those who never been there. Most peeps head to South Beach for vacay -- not Miami proper. South Beach (across the causeways) is nothing like that. The po-po on SoBe (Miami Beach) are not slaughtering young Black males. Having said that, the Miami Beach po-po do profile racially. They particularly stop & harass Black males driving tricked-out, expensive cars. I've seen that with my own eyes constantly in Miami Beach.

I live at 36th and Biscayne, right across the Inter-Coastal from Miami Beach. You're right about the police brutality, which occurs primarily in Miami and the surrounding suburbs, like Opa-Locka. I have never had any police problems there, but they are rampant. I've been lucky, because I'm an old man (LOL) and have a bland car, so I'm not in the police focus.
