I get the impression that many Americans just do not walk anymore. How many American cities have a Rent a bike system like in European cities? Even bicycle paths?
And I get the impression that Americans eat all the time, rather than have a proper meal.Constant snacking. And Coke, coke coke......Coke is not good for you.
A friend of mine was visiting thje U.S. She said the friends had fabulous kitcken, fridge etc ie BIG, but they hardly never cooked !:(

    This is very true.

Eating out at restaurants (nice and fast food) is a big thing here. It is no surprise that many Americans are overweight. Even if you think you're eating something "healthy" at a restaurant (like a salad), the caloric amount can be HUGE. And don't even get me started on the portions in these restaurants: 2-3 times the amount a person should be eating in a meal. It's sick.

It is best to prepare your own foods because then you know what it is you're eating....

Yes and yes to having both of those in Denver. Colorado is considered to be the fittest in the US always ranked tops in that area. And we eat healthy too. You can't believe all you see in the news. We Americans aren't all sitting on our asses watching tv and eating bon bons. :smt042

No, of course not. The USA is a big country. Just like the European Union is big. But America is very much led by advertising. Business decides what is the common good, bnot Government. But that an European view.

I was just as surprised when I saw Slovakia on that list; and #4?! Hmmm, I've never been there, but it's a little astonishing.

The problem is most food that is not good is cheaper..
and i dont mean about take-away only even the food you cook at home most healthy cost way more

ok also is how much a person eat but having a bad food make it worse

if someone live alone actualy is cheapper to have take-away every day rather then cook a nice meal

I'm surprised to see Japan and South Korea, but not China. I've seen more overweight Chinese people (both who live overseas in Europe, and exchange students from China) than Japanese or South Korean.
