Hi All!! So happy to have found this forum. I'm going to make this as short and sweet as possible. I am a 50 y/o ww. In 1980 I fell in love with the most beautiful 16 year old young black man. He was a track star at our high school. I ran track also and I would meet up with him after practice in the weight room. He asked me out three times, but I always had to say no because my father would have killed me. He gave me one amazing kiss but that was as far as it went. Fast forward 33 years. Three marriages and nine kids later for me, including 12 years of emotional and psychological abuse, and one marriage and two kids later for him. I always wondered what happened to him, always felt drawn to him. On New Year's Eve this year, we started messaging on Facebook and we've texted or talked every day since. He is the male version of me! We are compatible in every way! I am in Montana, he is in Texas. In March we met up at the Grand Canyon for a weekend. It was nothing short of a fairy tale. We are talking about moving to Florida together. My father passed away 9 years ago, so there's nothing holding us back. We have finally found our happily ever after.
Wow, that really sounds like a fairytale. Congrats! Not many are lucky enough to find their true soulmate. All the best for the future :smt049
Hi Nita, welcome to the Forum. It's lovely to read that you are finally finishing what began in both your hearts. I can't speak for your fear of your father, as l have never had to deal with that from my parents to be with whomever l wanted, but it does sadden me that you couldn't be with your other half. But then, you would not have your children..and maybe it would have fizzled out back as teens. My mother always says, our life and destiny is a book already written, each day is just a page turning... So happy yours has a happily ever after.
Thank you That is what we say, that we have found our soul mates. When we were together it felt like home. Two weeks from today we are meeting in Florida to check things out. I've never been happier
Congratulations I'm glad it worked out for the best, wished it would've happen sooner but good things come to those who are patient. Live long and prosper!
