I did a search for threads with this in the title and only 3 came up - the newest being from 2012, so I'm starting a new one.

Every year, I always say I'm not going to do any resolutions because I never seem to keep them.

However, now that I'm finished with school, I have made some resolutions this year that I do plan on completing.

For the longest time, I'd see people using skills they have to make extra money - like sewing quilts and setting up an Etsy "store" to sell them, or painting, or working on cars, etc. Whatever it is that people do in their spare time to make extra money.

I don't have any of those skill sets and I've been racking my brain for awhile now trying to come up with "my" skill set. I now know what my skill set is....writing. And I intend to make money writing this year.

I vow to use my free time in a constructive manner, like writing.

My 2015 New Year's Resolutions are as follows:

    1. Get a new job.

    2. Get back into writing screenplays (finish the one I started years ago, rewrite the completed one, start a new one).

    3. Write a short story (or stories) and/or a book.

    4. Move more (I'm not resolving to lose weight, so I'm resolving to do this instead).

    5. Travel more.

I think these are all attainable for me.

    What are yours?

I don't have any resolutions as such, well nothing substantial.

Other than to approach things as they come and not procrastinate on stuff that ultimately brings nothing positive to my life.

Also to file my Self Assessment in April instead of leaving it till the last minute ie the 31st of this month:sad:

Just face up to stupid things I don't like doing (as above) instead of chewing on it for a millennia before taking action.

I also opened another savings account today so that I can put some money aside for decent family holiday this year (rather than just a weekend)

    Achieve my Ideal fitness level:

1.) 400 pound 1 rep max on bench

2.) 405 pound 10 rep max on squat

    3.) 10k run in 45 min

I have done all this before plenty of times, but I have not been able to check all three boxes at one time. Currently I meet 2 of these goals, just need to achieve the last while maintaining my ability in the other areas.

2.) Leave VA this spring to never return.

3.) Start working on my next degree this fall.

Don't make new year's resolutions. I just go out & be as successful as I possibly can...
