    Im pumped for Melbourne

    Interesting questions this season:

#1 Now that Schumacher had more time developing the Merc...Can he match Rosberg?

#2 Will Webber race with a chip on his shoulder?

#3 Will Kubica recover from that accident and drive?

this is a good thread, props to the op. f1 is always strange for me: your sad one season ends, forget about it for a while, but then its back again. this season will be interesting for a number of reasons. i'll go into them.

if early shakedowns are any indication, ferrari and red bull are the teams to beat. mercedes have improved, while it looks early on like mclaren will struggle.certain drivers look like they will be fighting for their jobs: felipe massa, mark webber, the torro rosa drivers, and possibly schumi as well. massa has a coveted race seat at ferrari and i'm sure the prancing horse is weary of his poor form the last two years.....the only issue is finding a driver willing to play 2nd fiddle to alonso. webber is 35 and that's bad news in the ever younger f1. add to that his contract is on a year to year basis, speaks trouble for the veteran aussie. internal turmoil with the team and the newly crowned world champion possibly creates a tether to short for the aussie to reach. the torro rosa drivers, sebastien buemi and jaime alguesari are under threat from Daniel Ricciardo, who many see as a future world champion(look at the car control,he's the red bull in first:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zr2RDXsVO7w&feature=related). and with schumacher 41 is a hard time to restart any career, and no less one that involves 4g's of force and winding turns. i,for one, hopes his back holds up.

red bull pole by vettel, but hammy p2 in front of webber. the start will be critical because vettel can be gone in 5 laps, but much credit to the best driver, hamilton who pushed an inferior car to the limit... to me one mistake by vets and ham is in...
