Really interesting article. Thoughts? http://www.examiner.com/article/12-year-old-guilty-of-murder-after-killing-white-supremacist-dad
The most interesting point from the entire article in my opinion is the argument by psychologists regarding the boy's birth mother and whether or not her history of drug use could be attributed to the boy's aggressive behavior. nevermind the fact that the father was abusive and forced this twisted, hateful lifestyle on his son, in his attempt to mold his son into a replica of himself as a white supremacist. while he did take his father's life away, I don't believe the boy deserves to be locked up in juvenile detention. He would be better served receiving psychiatric care in a hospital somewhere.
Poor kid. I can't even imagine how it would be, growing up with a person like this as a father. I doubt that any therapy can help such a kid become a "normal" person and live a healthy life. No one knows what has happened behind closed doors, but the boy probably saw killing his Dad as his only escape.
the irony.....the hate he preached against others ....the violence that he preached killed him came from his own blood ....his own skin color. wow. I have while hate may get its intended victims it will always get unintended people. hate has its cost with no longterm benefits
I remember this case when it happened. What the hell was his lawyer thinking not having a jury trial?! Most judges are compelled to follow the law and are usually technical. A jury would have acquitted, I'm positive. That kid did the world a HUGE favor. Poor sweetheart.
The articles I read before, and I think there is another thread on this one, claimed that his fathers beliefs had nothing to do with the murder. Weird
