Not every woman in her 30's is like that.

Well, I am 37, but still feel like I am 10, or 20, or 25. 37 doesn't seem real to me. I am just as not inclined to have a child as I was when I was younger - it all depends on finding the right man. If I don't ever find the right man, I won't have a child, plain and simple. If I do find the right man outside of my childbearing years, I hope that I could adopt a child that was a little older, maybe one that was rejected by a lot of the typical adoptive parents. IF that was in the cards for me...If not, then oh well. Like I said before, I have a more important mission to fulfill which is which my God-given talent, my art. I have to do something with that before I die. If I don't, I will have died a failure. If I die without being a parent, that is just the way it was meant to be. I will be a good Auntie to my nephews... that's why I moved to be near them, because it is so important to me to be good to them every chance that I get.

Let's just say my Art is my child, which is maybe how it was meant to be all along. And I am neglecting her right now, which I am ashamed of. Not all 30-somethings are tied to that typical American dream, you know. We have a lot of great productive years ahead of us, and that's not just in making babies, it's in producing creative work, thought, dialogue... If you think 30-something's are washed up, not viable etc., I suggest that you get out of your box and start exploring...

I can't speak for Denver, or the "scene" so to speak here, but I will say there are a lot more BM here than I ever ran into in New England (big surprise, huh?), probably as a result of the influence of the military. It's not just military people, there are a lot of former military out here as well. Colorado is a beautiful place and a lot of people who are posted here for awhile end up staying.

    Well, Ms. OpenHeart,
Aren't you splendid! I need to meet a woman, such as yourself. (Even if I'm responding several months later.)

Trop de belles femmes sont déjà pris !

not sure who told you denver is a big IR city...just because pixie, jordan and i don't have a problem finding dates it doesn't necessarily mean ww will drop at your feet...i just wouldn't want you to come with any outlandish expectations...i live in the city but i'm pretty sure i won't be here when you are in town...sacramento...minneapolis and san diego are on my travel calendar this month...

ps: don't stare too long into the red eyes of the wild blue horse at the airport...
