I know we as a society don't throw away the lives of 10 year olds like they're career criminals, but really what are the chances you can rehabilitate a kid like this??

Anger management problems, impulse control issues, no respect for anyone, prone to violent outbursts, no conscience and he probably has a chemical imbalance in is brain.

It's not like the 90 year old was talking shit to this little kid and he went off.

No matter what kind of sentence he gets, this kid will be on the streets as an adult. If he spends his teen and young adult years behind bars, he's not coming out of prison as a responsible, productive member of society.

Seems like he was born bad. Or had shit for parents. Probably both.

When I was 10 years old I was halfway scared of old people.:shock:

 

I was too. Something about all the wrinkles and white hair just kept me at bay. They're so feeble...I wanted nothing to do with them.

This kid has been charged as an adult...for murder and aggravated assault. He's 10. Makes me wonder if things could've been different with proper help from early on. Who knows, maybe he had the help and it didn't work. I'm definitely a believer that some people are just born bad. Sad, but true. Doubtful that prison will rehabilitate an individual (even a child) like that.

 

Sending this child to prison would only make him worse and he could potentially become a mass murderer. We are dealing with a potential future monster here that needs to be tamed now. Instead of locking this kid in a cell, they need to assign him to a treatment center and rehabilitate him.

I'd hate to be the person that makes the decision about what should happen to him.

My Son is the same age as him, there is a lot of time in front of this boy to change and get the help he needs.

I'm sad this old lady had to die in such a horrific manner, but I still wouldn't be able to write off a 10 yr old boy because of it.

You can't tell me this is his first act of violence, there is always a bigger picture and I bet a lot of failed opportunities to intervene.

This story is sad and shocking, but saying a kid must have been born evil and that he should be shot is just as shocking.
