I learned this dick move from an older chick when I was in my late teens. Girl ran that 'ish on me and had me all fucked up. ...lol But, she would always come back and I was like a little thankful puppy. After all, I was the one slipping not here, right? ...lol I figured it out eventually and learned from it. I learned to pull that on chicks so if I ever wanted to come back, it would look like I was doing them a favor.

When it comes to shit like this, women are masters of flipping it on dudes. ...lol

A long time ago, when I was in the military at the young age of 20, I called myself cheating on my ex husband (we were just bf gf at the time). Of course I came up with all sorts of reasons (unattentive, his indiscretions previously) and I thought the grass was greener, looking for that 20% in another guy that mine was lacking (80/20%).

i owned up immediately, because i am a terrible liar and had a guilty conscious. I felt awful about it.

Never cheated again. Never will. Too many hurt feelings. If I'm not happy, i get out.

You know what's funny is I've never cheated in my life. Maybe lead some people on a little but never cheated while with anyone

I have never cheated sexually. When I was 18, I was emotionally cheating on my then fiancee which is equally bad IMO.
The next boyfriend, who I lived with cheated on me.. I found them in our bed. It devastated me and it took a long time to put myself together. I swore I would never put anyone through that and I have so far kept that promise.
Of course, there have been temptations, but the trick is to remove oneself from those situations early.

Never cheated sexually in an exclusive relationship. Admittedly, I've worked over 80 hours in a week and done some pretty neglectful things. When I've ignored someone or chosen to work more hours instead of investing time, it's because I felt like I wasn't getting a good enough return on my time spent to pass up the money. If I pick up my hours, that's a pretty good sign to a guy a breakup is on the horizon.

I've been cheated on before. I can say that from the two women that cheated on me and the friends that I have had that cheat on their spouses (this is only my small experience), the women that cheated on their spouses ultimately will own up to it and take responsibility months and or years later. The male friends I had pretty much say, "yeah, I effed up" and that's pretty much it. I think it has something to do with societal norms. But, then again, what do I know? I've never cheated.

I would have thought that the "not enough attention" reason would top the list.

I don't think it's really about attention...I do however think that is a common excuse

Why do you think people use it as an excuse, as opposed to some other rationale?

A man cheats on a woman its because he is a jerk, a woman cheats on a man is because HE is a jerk. Win-Win situation huh?

Totally agree Lippy. Here's the key: whatever the man or woman says to justify their behaviour, it's just an excuse.

    Fuck. No.

I'm far from perfect but I'd never keep a man who cheats on me. If he wants to see other people we can have that conversation. But a man cheating on me? I'll be out before he even realizes I know he's shady. Raider doesn't share
