To be honest, I think both sides are bullcrapping when they say that. The only people I'd believe are the black men who have never had sex with a non-white person, and the white women who have never had sex with a non-black person.
Black women descended from slavery (Caribbean/African-American) are raised in a matriarchy, so they do not respect Black men's boundaries. They will go wherever Black men are, invited or not.. and usually Black men don't stop them.

I've always been attracted to both BW, and WW, but never dated a WW until recently. I've been very happy, and I can say that in general... I find myself looking at more WW than BW. I would absolutely date a BW again, but if I had to compare... Based upon my experiences I think the WW I've met have been a better match for me. I do consider myself equal opportunity as I'd date women of others races/ethic backgrounds as well, especially latinas.

The first woman I dated was white. I later dated an Asian woman. I have also dated black, indian women, italian women, and more. I personally think that I "wouldn't go back" to a specific race of women if I married one specific woman (assuming that it doesn't end in divorce). Some people have a preference for a specific race, but I don't think such preferences are finite.
Good point. As I have grown older, I have noticed that my preference is less rooted in race per se, than background. The black women I have dated are nearly identical to the white women I have dated in terms of background, education, etc. I think it might be a case of culture, because I'm not attracted to coarsened white women, either. I guess I just can't do the hardcore. For me it's pretty much non US-born women of any race and US women (usually white, but also black) who are into the counter-culture.
