I'm a journalist BUT if newspapers keep declining I'm gonna find myself living up to my screen name. Like, seriously.
Take advantage of those skills with blogging and all. The interest in getting news is still out there, just perhaps not in the printed form. You can dance while you type as well... just in case What section(s) do you usually write for?
I do a lot of breaking news, front page and community stuff. I've also covered health, crime, sports, features, government, etc. But the publishing business is dying. People don't read newspapers and magazines like they used to. To make extra money I freelance at several publications. Check out my website. You can view my awards, front page articles, celebrity interviews and more! www.ajdugger.com
Thanks! I love what I do. To me it doesn't feel like work. I've always enjoyed writing and talking to people. It's also cool to get big assignments like covering major events and interviewing celebrities.
building the nation one weld at a time! its not the safest or most lucrative job but its a very rewarding skill and career and living in California near a lot of Oil refineries I'll never be out of work and can make great money.
I am happy for you. ...great trade-skill and great testimony. ...If you would like to one day quadruple your income, get your certified diver certificate for underwater welding. ...then, you might only have to work 2 days a week. ...
^ That is a great idea (as long as he likes scuba diving). I have a cousin who does this and the boy really is set for a very long time to come.
How do you like it in Mountain House? I used to live in Pleasanton and remembered going there for a few parties back in the day.
I'm a professional photographer. And even though I love what I do, it's not as glamorous as it sounds.
