What I do... I am a creative, retired, still do a bit of freelance now and then, and nine hours away from a BS Psychology degree. :smt045
I'm a cleaner lol. I only work part time because I have a young family, and have a few different family issues that really limit what hours I am able to work. Cleaning is fine for me, I have never wanted to own my own company, never wanted a high powered/high stress job, I just want to turn up, work hard, then go home. Job done. Plus its active and keeps me busy, would rather die than sit behind a desk for god knows how many hours! Thats fine for those that do it, but I need to actually be moving about. I want my body active, cos my brain can't cope with any extra pressure haha. I only work 16 hours a week, and work for two different companies, at three different sites. Its just right for me.
well thanks . I don't know, I just have to work, even if its a menial job, and menial hours, anything is better than nothing! Its not even just about the money, its more my wellbeing, I cannot imagine being stuck in the house day in day out, just expecting to be paid benefits for being lazy lol. Yes, I live in a country that does try to help you out, but it helps the wasters out much more than it should. My ex drinks, smokes (dope as well as just normal cigarettes), gambles, and he gets all his money for a drug related mental health issue that he pretty much created himself. He is more than capable of work, he just can't be bothered, and doesn't see any point when he gets paid for lying on his useless arse. I won't lie, yes, because of my low wage and the fact I have kids at home, I do get some help from the benefit system, but everyone does, I'm not getting anything special. If I could work more hours I absolutely would, but I am genuinely unable because of issues with one of my children, and I do the very best I can. Haha lol sorry, you didn't ask for my life story!! To sum up, I'm a cleaner and I'm happy hehe x
I am a personal support worker. I used to work with people with physical disabilities but am now working with the senior population in an attempt to keep them home for as long as possible and out of long term care. They range from people who have no family support to people with the early onsets of dementia.
