You're welcome, Ches. :freehug: This quote was a big help to me not all that long ago, and I was happy I came across it again so I could share it.
"To be honest, as this world goes, is to be one picked out of ten thousand." Hamlet William Shakespeare
Something I need to work on. "Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities"-Voltaire How do you grow a mushroom.? Keep it in the dark and feed it Shit.- Mushroom theory of management
I don't mind what language an opera is sung in so long as it is a language I don't understand. -Sir Edward Appleton 'Tis better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt. -Abraham Lincoln I'm never going to be famous. My name will never be writ large on the roster of Those Who Do Things. I don't do any thing. Not one single thing. I used to bite my nails, but I don't even do that any more. -Dorothy Parker Computers can figure out all kinds of problems, except the things in the world that just don't add up. -James Magary A thinker sees his own actions as experiments and questions--as attempts to find out something. Success and failure are for him answers above all. -Friedrich Nietzsche
That first one is funny, BD! I'm not an opera fan so I agree. The second quote has long been one of my favorites, but I wasn't aware that it was attributed to ol' Abe.
There was a similar quote in the film The Ghost And The Darkness spoken by Michael Douglas. Remington-"We have a sayin' in prizefightin' that everybody has a plan until they get hit. Well, my friend, you've just been hit. The gettin' up is up to you." The film was made in '96. Mike Tyson was a champion up until '88 or '89(I think. He suffered his first defeat from a newcomer).
"Whom the gods destroy, they first make mad." "Such tricks hath strong imagination..." Quotes by William Shakespeare
