Spooning/Cuddling Dislikes/Likes

And what will you do if God brings you the woman you long for after 50? (He has a way of doing the very thing you don't think he's going to do, you know) Spit in his face and tell him you don't want her? It's great if you know that God has called you to be single - for a purpose that he has designed, not because you think there's no woman out there for you. If you pledge to be single to commit yourself to serving him in a focused way, that's commendable. But if God desires for you to be married and brings someone to you and you refuse because of a "promise" then you're missing his best for you.

 

I can politely refuse. I won't spit this woman back at God. I'm not strong enough to do that. I am sure that God understands me because he made me, you, evrybody and everything. He understands. Don't you think so?

 

You would refuse God? Really? To keep a promise that he never asked of you in the first place? God absolutely understands you but he has a plan for your life. It MAY include a wife. That's truly between you and God. He will honor a promise made in order to make him your sole focus. But if you're saying if he doesn't give you a wife by age 50, that you're done and will remain single, you're putting God in a box. Jmo.

In the end, you have to do what you can live with before God. Just think about it, though. Research what the Bible has to say about marriage.

He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the LORD. Prov 18:22

 

I am not putting God in a box or a corner. I've been through a lot and I've had enough. I just want to be alone and finish the race I'm running. I just cancelled my membership to interracial match and other sites I had been member of. I will do my best to be a good man. To help people when and where I can. I will harm no one.

 

well of course it does, thats what I'm saying, but that doesn't mean its a good way to live your life, its just a good way to assure you remain alone

 

Like athletic shoes and certain luxury and high performance sports cars. Only a chosen few can own them. And in the media, only a certain person can be paired with a celebrity. Not just anyone can be seen with that person. The celebrity's stock can either rise or fall based on whom they are with(friends, girlfriends, lovers and spouses).

 

There was a book out in the 90s called The Rules. This book suggests that attractive people should only be around attractive people(in business, friendships, dating and marriage). It is a manifesto for social segregation among people based on the supposed standards of beauty.

 

"Aattractive" is subjective. What's attractive to one may not be to another. Besides, that philisophy is as ridiculous as "whites should be with whites, blacks with blacks, etc."

 

Subjective is the operative word. It has been this way in everyday life starting with school.

I thought "the rules" was a book about how a woman should behave to get and keep "Mr. Right" ?

 

Whether it's a serious relationship or just sex, I love holding her afterwards.

I do like trying to snuggle with "hubby", (not the guy I'm actually interested in) because he's always "WTF ARE YOU DOING?!" and I never quite know what he'd do. Results in us both laughing, and no snuggling.

 

I didn't know that was called spooning lol i use to call it cuddling and with a chance of sunshine and clear blue skies

 

That always leads to other things...... its never just a cuddle.;-)

 

That's why its the best.
