in most of my experiences of seeing a BW tell her girlfriends that she's datin' a WM, the conversation has gone somethin' like this... sad, but true.
I think both face some pretty unfair, preconceived attitudes. The one that ticks me off the most, is the idea that people date outside of their race because they are/were unsuccessful at dating within their respective race, and are somehow "settling". Another thing that gets my goat (can't believe I just said that) is this false belief that someone that dates outside of their race, is ashamed of their own race... or look down on the opposite sex within their own race. Like, WTF man!? BOTH :smt071"IDEAS" ARE TOTAL BULLSH*T!!!
It's true. Another one is "they're snatching up all the good brothers". Uh, no...people just like who they like, and date who they want to date. Like, if every WW broke up with the BM they were with, all single BW aren't going to become instantly un-single
I think, at the end of the day, we are who we are. We all have our reasons for our choices, be it relationships, lifestyle,etc. What matters is how one feels about themselves and the one they are with. If one is honest and has genuine feelings, nothing matters. We are who we are and nothing except God can change that.
I think white women potentially face social persecution for dating a black man. Black men probably get some crap but it doesn't matter for men in general. Probably difficult for some black men to sift out those who might be attracted to him. I know I sometimes wonder if a WW rejects me is it because of general lack of interest (which is fine) or because I'm black.
Sometimes it is both. It is somewhat true that white women do face some kind of persecution because white society believes that a white woman must live up to standards. Black men only face resentment if the woman they are with is very attractive, or supermodel hot. I agree it is difficult to sift through women who would be attracted to a black man. But, it depends on location and the occasion.
I think by white men also. It's like a scarlet letter for some lol. Many white men will NOT date a WW who has been with a black man.

Same here, although I think they're coming around. I think it's become more important that I'm with someone who treats me well & makes me happy. They just don't understand why it can't be a white guy. To them, you just don't mix it up. Like marries like.
On a general level women will always have it bad on the IR subject. Really, I think women who date BM will always get it bad from society due to society's perspective on BM. Other non-white women who date WM only really get diss from their own ethnicity though.
There is no other race/ethnicity discriminated against like African Americans, everyone loves to hate us, especially BM. I think one, the general hatred toward AA highlights either coupling WM-BW or BM-WM. But there is a stronger stigmatism with BM, so BM-WM wins out in this unfortunate race to hatred. I would also back up what others have said earlier, generally we don't care as much what guys choose, opposed to what females choose.
