After I gave feedback on a paper, and emailed it back to her so she'd send me another paper.... it took her a good 15 minutes to send another paper. Will anyone notice if I crawled under the desk to sleep?
Call centers where the people can not speak English. The fact that Christmas decorations are already out before Halloween
Mixed signal, you like me or you don't. You are interested or you are not. I'm too old to play games.
Another pet peeve: When you send an email to someone, CC it to others and you actually explain in the email why the people are CC'ed. At the end you remind them to please reply to all.... then they don't. Argh And: Finding mistakes in peer reviewed articles :smt018
*The inability to be punctual ever *Being told "I'll be ready in 5 minutes" and then it takes almost an hour before we can leave *At work being told I was wrong for doing things the way I did them, and telling me how I should be doing them next time, and when I do that being told I did wrong again. Lol I hate when you can't ever do things right by a person, esp after specifically asking how to do something and then going with that. *Shallowness *Being addressed as "Hun,Sweetie,Baby etc" by men who barely know me. To me personally that is something somewhat intimate, and not for pretty much strangers. When being addressed that way on the internet I don't even send a response. *People entertaining the entire bus or train by playing music with their cell phone loudly for everyone to hear. Why not use headphones? Not everyone may have the same music taste and some people try to read in their study books while riding bus or train, and appreciate less noise.
People saying my name wrong. It's not an unconventional name. In fact, it's pretty common. But for some reason, people either have some lisp or they have a bad case of dyslexia. It really has been irking the shit out of me, even if my name is dead in their faces. I swear, we DO have some dumb motherfuckers on this planet.
I am now trying to make a list of common names people kill..but most are Latino in nature..inquirying mind wants to know..
dWebpro gave you a hint. Second clue...think of a proper variation. Hey, do I look like I would associate with sociopaths?
Here's my pet peeve. 1. I HATE it when people are LATE for something extremely important that was planned at least a week ago. Punctuation is KEY! 2. Another pet peeve for me is when people spell my name wrong....it's S-A-R-A-H. Not S-A-R-A or C-E-R-A--it's PURELY S-A-R-A-H! Damn! xDD 2.5 And one more pet peeve is when I misplace something very important, like my cell phone. Seriously...misplacing cell phone is my own pet peeve, and it is really annoying to misplace it! D: Luckily, I have my normal ringer on so...not that difficult to find, so I'll strike this out. :smt038
I feel ya, LP...it's not a great feeling when someone spells your name wrong...with yours, I usually assume it is spelled with the "H" on the end, unless someone tells me otherwise. With names with more than one spelling, I always try to verify with the person how the name is actually spelled..." Is that Cathy with a "C" or a "K"?"
That's the good thing with sign language. There is no sign for an individual's name, each name-sign is personalized based on someone's characteristics. When meeting someone, they always spell their name out. I go: "Hi, my name's N-I-C-O-L-E". Then they know it's not spelled Nichole lol. Less mistakes than pesky english
