They come from individuals who come to this site and place ads. We do not share databases with other web sites, if that is what you're asking.

Beware that a number of those ads are bogus and use pictures of models lifted off of popular websites....

If you wanted to add a picture to your profile and edit it a bit...how do you do that?

    Just wondering.

Good to know...I figured that by looking a bit already.

At this time, you'd have to delete the ad and re-create it. Or, I can add the photo if you'd like to email it to me.

    A little Confused

I have some questions about the personals section on the site. First, how does the person that I sent a message to know that I sent it to them? There is no link to my profile and the messages that I sent. Also, how do they know how I look. I cannot attach a pic? Lastly, I also have a profile up and how do I match that up with messages that I send. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Re: A little Confused

When you respond to someone's ad in the personals, it forwards the message directly to an email address they specified when they placed their ad. If the email address is no good -- or no longer accepting mail -- the message will bounce back to us and we'll pull the ad.

The subject they see is the subject you place in the subject line. The email address you enter is the email address they can use to contact you.

To protect folks from viruses, you're only allowed to send text in your first message. A good idea would be to place an ad of your own and simply email them your ad number on this site, or a link to your photo on another site like MySpace, Yahoo, etc.

At that point, they will have the option of responding back to you directly -- outside of this website.

When you place an ad -- if you click all the way through -- there is an option to upload a photo from your computer. The ads are then held in a queue until they are reviewed and posted.

Once posted, the ad owner can delete the ad at any time using their ad number and their password.

There is no official link-up between the personals and forums. We'd like to keep both areas completely separate. Reason -- we don't want people who come here for the discussion to be hit on. And the personals area (and adult) are where the revenues come from to pay for this site.

However, you can do this on your own if you wish. In your forum profile, you can place a link to your ad (or ad number) under -- "Signature." Then in every message you post, the link to your ad (or ad number) will appear in your signature.

You can also choose to make your email address in the forums visible. But once you do that, ALL visitors to this site will be able to see your email address and they will be able to contact you directly. That includes racists, troublemakers, and spammers.

If you hide your email in the forums and/or place an ad in the personals, then it's our job to protect you from those who try to contact you against your will. If you choose to reveal your email address, or contact information, through your profile in the forums, then you're on your own.

webmaster, can you help Bmanz? he thinks that the women are fake on the personals page and that they must be planted there by someone. You explained earlier the process but he seems not to understand that.

    just being helpful, thanks mate.
