Sally Ride, first US woman in space dead at 61

I remember reading about her when I was in elementary school.

She would be sorely missed. One of the greatest astronaughts ever.

 

I have never heard of her name before, let alone know she was the first...

God Bless her and may she rest peacefully. That very painful cancer took my father, too.

 

Dang tony i guess i am old sally ride was a leader to get throuhg in the old boys network, not only did she have to be smarter quicker and do her job cleaner than her counter parts she had to be tougher than them all!!!!
The lady did her dance very well. Much props and prayers out bound for family.. She did her thing forever in the annels of history
