If Gwyneth Paltrow wants this issue to be resolved it is very simple:

I agree that we need to start holding some white people a little bit more accountable for their actions at times like when Dog the Bounty Hunter used the N-word against his son's girlfriend who was black. All he showed was that he was a clear racist. He tried to get a Black minister to come on CNN and speak on his behalf and try to "get back" his name but still in my mind he will always be seen as a racist.

On the other hand we need to remember that we cannot go overboard either like when this Brother thought he had heard something racist in the children series Fraggle Rock.

Go back and listen again, and you’ll hear the clip in a totally different way. Hub decided, though, just to avoid this mistake in the future, to edit out Gobo’s name from that exchange. The Jim Henson Company, the show’s original creator, told CW 33 they, “agree with The Hub’s interpretation of the scene and their actions in this matter.”

Still, White doesn’t seem entirely happy with the outcome, wondering why they’d edit the line out if it wasn’t a mistake, or an inside joke. He also, in a beautiful wrap-up of the controversy, points out that Gobo is wearing what appears to be a Jamaican rasta hat in this episode that he doesn’t normally wear."

However, I still say that one way that Gwyneth Paltrow can solve this is by hooking up with a Brotha-perhaps she needed to do that a long time ago instead of using some Brothers like a Black Eraser to erase all of her mess away.

There are so many Black people with a professional background is sociological and cultural studies who would have an illuminating opinion on this subject, hell even random Black people who are actually grown folk who could explain why it's problematic having the N-word now become a part on of White folks everyday vernacular.

If you would have a problem with your professor or supervisor calling you Nig, or someone calling your kids little nigs, you should have a problem with the word in general.
