I was not aware that the word "smash"

    Or that earrings

    Or that saggy pants

Where invented by and or the sole domain of black men. I also was not aware that as a white woman, I couldn't have anything to do with them.

Which is really strange because I'm pretty sure I heard my dad say stuff like:
Hey! He...if you have a headache smash your toe with a hammer and your headache will go away.

    He's white by the way.

Earrings: been wearing them since I was 6 or so. And I know the egyptians wore them long before me. So.......??????

    And saggy pants:
Bra....you be 2 months post partum with your second kid and sleep deprived with every kind of stain you could never imagine on your "nice" clothes and see if you aren't wearing the same maternity pants your wore before you had the kids.

Oh, and that was ALL before boys for got how to pull their pants up in the first place.

First Off Genius..guys were wearing earrings long ago. In the 80s (I was a small child back then) I remember overhearing whole convos about those "gay" men and their earrings. And again...Egyptians...just of the top of my head.

Secondly? White t-shirts? Shades? GTFO. You're immature age is showing again.

How the fuck am I defending white men? Because I said something about me wearin baggy maternity pants after having kids?

You are going out of your way to hate all kinds of PEOPLE..........WHAT FOR

    One phrase: fetal alcohol syndrome.

I hope to God she's not really pregnant.

And about 'stealing', there's something called 'youth culture' and 'urban aesthetic/style', where there's a LOT of cultural overlap until it's hard to say specifically one trend or another is exclusively the domain of one group.

For instance, in D.C. the big thing for Black teeny bops is rocking skinny jeans!:smt119
Ugh. Hate that look on men.
But this fad was started by White kids in the late 70s-early 1980s who listened to punk and new wave. Not Kanye.

Saggy jeans were made big time by hip hop(and prison culture from LA gangs), but kids have always worn jeans slightly off their waistline, 'dressing down'.

The cast of Jersey Shore isn't really 'stealing' anything since IMO that's urban youth culture nowadays. It's an eclectic potpourri of different styles.

Being pro WW/BM doesn't mean you are AGAINST anything or anyone that doesn't fit that profile. At least that's what I thought.

I agree that's its youth culture but let's be fair its very recent that what would otherwise be considered black youth culture and white youth culture are allowed to cross over. As recent as ten years ago wearing the hats the way they do and the sneakers along with with the white tees and chains would have veen considered acting black, Eminem anyone?
Same thing with black kids who have mohawks and skateboard. I never thought that would have ever been socially acceptable at least it wasn't when I was a teen. Shit wearing a pair of vans would have you clowned so its nice to see that its all become one melting pot. Just kids being kids. My only problem with Jersey shore so far is that what up my ninja bullshit its right up there with n bomb or n word. Just a lame way of saying nigga without saying it.

I just wanted to say that even though chocolate is my favorite flavor (dark, especially) I dont hate vanilla.

In fact, my favorite vanilla is French. Which is white...with little black specs in it.

Just because you have a favorite taste doesn't mean you don't enjoy variety too. And it doesn't mean that you hate any thing that isn't that flavore.

Johnson...I'm talking to you here. This isn't just about food this analogy.

    Agreed.

That's why I wouldn't call the cast of 'Jersey Shore'..wiggers, because they aren't flipping urban/hip hop slang 24/7.

They sound like many Italians I've met from New Jersey.

And I got clowned DAILY as a 10-12 year old for trying to learn tricks on my blue skateboard. From Blacks and Whites.:smt085
Whatever. The tribulations of elementary school.

I didn't know about 'what up my ninja?' That's some bullshit.
You know they probably say the actual word all the time IRL.
