The soldiers share their experiences in Australia and how they were treated by the Aussies.

i only read a comment or two on youtube, but this idea of 'imported racism' from white Americans, was happening all over during ww2. If I recall correctly, the Irish were being subjected to it, but not all were affected as seen through the eyes of black sailors in a film stationed in Ireland (they were dancing and drinking with the natives like anyone else - color didnt mean shit..winning the war was the important matter). Forgot the name of it tho.

Bottom line is that our military was racist, and the white marines, soldiers, and sailors that were being shipped to those countries, brought that shit to their lands. Pretty pathetic. The racism was so horrible back then..this is why there are so many efforts to curtail this shit before it starts with these politicians and media dogs.

Great post! After watching all six parts, I just wish it was a longer documentary.

Wow, I just watched all six parts of this too. Quite informative. Makes me glad I was born in this time because I probably would have been in a lot of trouble (or worse) for the kind of things I do in this day age in going about my daily life. This is especially so when it comes to my relationship with my girlfriend.

May have times have changed. I was in Australia, as a Marine...from 1993 - 1994 and The Aussies where nothing short of fucking outstanding to me. The men and the women. Then I went back in 1997 2001 2005 and was treating freaky awesome.

Then men where victims and products of their time. Things have changed.
