actually I know a lot of black women who tanning. They say it brings out a healthy glow. It's usually lighter skinned bw who say it but it's not unheard of.

For some reason, I really got the :heart: for this WW. It sucks she made the comment about Asian people though.

 

it doesn't bother me, because it's the expected result of an undereducated society living in an as much of a segregated society as ever since maybe the 1950's, where there is little interaction on a personal level. add to that, a good number of ppl are low information voters who get their view of different communities from theirs on television. and as many of you know, the media more often than not, is more adept at showing cARICATURES more then reality. so in a way these ppl aren't racist, in their mind, because they feel they are expressing their views based on the parameters i stated above.

 

That is a website of almost every excuse imaginable on the prejudice people have.

I have found over the years, the worst thing you can do to someone, or even some animals, is completely ignore them. I don't mean just not talk them for an hour, but write them off 99%. This drives people insane --recogintion by others is essential for being & a lot of time they come around your way because they need to be recognized by you for some reason, but you have to be willing to stay the course if need be. I don't recommend doing this for everything. (Does that make sense to you?)

What I'm getting at, is the fact that I don't bigot's, haters, etc. any piece of me, time, extremly low emotion if any at all, etc. Just think if black people woke up tomorrow and stop caring about anything negative another race had to say about us, I could tell you we would furthur ourselves a least a little bit...
