Or a brother thinks Affirmative Action is a thing of the past or a cop stopping one on a suburban road with the thought he is protecting him.

Thanks for the rep, my friend!

The issue I have with people like this is he's overlooking the fundamental factor that even if there wasn't slavery, there would be a good number of Africans migrating to the U.S., whether we're talking about the South African Apartheid or just working deals with other countries.

Yes, Africa for the most part is in disarray, but at the same time there are parts of Africa in which demonstrates a sense of modernity. In short, many of us would still be in America or the United Kingdom or Canada because of those very reasons - disarray within the continent.

I don't know about the rest of you. After watching that, I'm convinced that Peterson is still a slave and a very morbid one at that.

Actually if you listen to this cat he makes some valid, strong, and real points.......

...REAL POINTS. He says things that MANY of us either don't want to here, are too simple to get. Not all of what he said, but this was powerful to listen too.

Well again, the point was to show how bad slavery was on the individual called tom. Slavery transformed him into the description you gave. It would not have been effective if they had portrayed tom as the way disney portrayed black people in slavery as singing my oh my what a wonderful when every day was a living hell. She did get praise from fredrick douglas on it as well. You can't portray a brilliant man in slavery because it might be interpretted as slavery made him brillant when in reality slavery does damage to any indiviual because it takes away their fredom to learn independently on their own among other things.
