Yeah I have friends who went to lesser schools and barely make 50k being a lawyer just sounds better than it does unless you're in the top 10% but that's most professions now.
CPAs use to make 80k right out of grad now you're lucky to get 40k and benefits. Its a new world my friend. Hope you guys are bying your lotto tickets lol.

I could see you being in the top tier of your class, though. Although, being a lawyer is a waste of time at this point, I agree. There was just a bunch of articles about how going to law school is a waste of time and money (no matter where you go, or where you fall in your class) because there just aren't any jobs, no one wants to hire you, and they're sick of the ones we've already got. lol

I thinking living in Buffalo skews your perception nips. People who went to one of the top ten law schools aren't struggling to find employment they're actually being recruited. Now if you go to a rinky dink third tier school you're totally fucked.

Really? You should Google that shiz my friend. I think it was MSNBC or Slate that highlighted grads from top tier schools with tons of debt without jobs. Those places want new blood cause they don't have to pay them, if they want them at all.

I work with Law Firms on a regular basis, and there are LOTS of unemployed attorneys from great law schools. There is a plethora of supply and really no demand, and the days of training associates are gone, now it's all about churning out the $$$. The sad part is that once you go down that path, it's hard to retrain, esp carrying those massive student loans.

James Franco is an idiot. He was awful hosting the oscar, now letterman is just blowing smoke to him to be semi-supportive and the guy sat there and ate it up, did not know it was tounge & cheek. What a moron! supposedly he has 3 masters degree and now getting a Ph. D in English. I am sure his admission to Yale English dept has a lot to do on who he is than on merit.

God have mercy on NYU students (I heard he is going to be a professor there next year). Smdh.
