Oh I'm sorry, but I was referring to American women. While I do not wish to assume, it would not surprise me that in other countries (especially Canada, which seems to have much better race relations than we do here.) that example does exist, specifically a caucasian women dating or marrying a non-famous black man.

Okay, after reading the thread i wanted to give my two cents on this subject. I've dated white women here in the states since highschool and yeah i got some women to go out with me and other women who just we're not interested. Was it race related? Who knows. But i do know when i was in college i studied abroad in Holland for semester and i pulled in some A+ girls that would've had white men back here in the states tripping out. And the funny thing was no matter who the girl was i asked out she never turned me down and at least went out with me for one date. Now take that same logic to somewhere like i dunno...Texas. See what just happened there? Now not every white woman in America is racist but a large majority are prejudiced. And that prejudice will inform their dating practices. European women from my experience and well as Canadian women don't seem to have those same hangups. If any of you lovely ladies would like to refute me on this, i look forward to reading it.
I doubt they will. I think some of them have hard time to admitting the racism that's woven into the American culture because they themselves don't don't get involved with that shit. But out of the few foreign women I've dated race never even came up in conversation once opposed tohere where it defines our existence. I've always equated racism for us to be similar to the fear of rape for them. If its not a genuine concern for your well being you don't think about it so to them when we bring up the absolute overt racism of the US they scratch their heads the same way I do when a friend needs me to walk them two blocks on well lit street after the club.
