    Mr.K,
As a Black American Muslim,Louis Farrakhan and Malik El-Shabazz are a part of your religions leadership....... I am sure you know they have some strong opinions on white people and IR dating.......With your taste in women, do you care what they think and what they prescribe for their followers.......

It could be turkey bacon, but who really cares. What a person eats isn't truly relevant in the greater realm of things. I consider myself a christian, am I a perfect christian? No, I'm far from perfect. On the other hand, I know quite a few american catholics who practice birth control & we all know how the Pope feels about that, yet these same individuals consider themselves to be good catholics. I suppose, for me, each person has to determine how to practice their faith in their own way - does it truly mean that a person is not a good christian/muslim/jew/hindu/buddist, even if they choose not to practice every single tenant of their faith?:smt052

Im not a Muslim, but I do have friends who are.
Some are orthdox and some are modern Muslims.
Just as you may find the same in Judaism and Christianity.

I have several Jewish and Muslim friends who identify as such, but dont follow it in the Orthodox fashion.... but rather a more "modern" or "Westernized" fashion if you will.
I think we often forget that other religions exhibit a broad spectrum of following the scripts just as Christians do.

I’d love to see an original copy of the bible before many of the pages were torn out.

Yes, I am a Christian. I believe Jesus is the Christ, son of the living God. And I do try to walk the straight and narrow even though I have stumbled and fallen more times than I could ever count. But I find it is best to keep on keeping on and learn from mistakes of the past, rather than dwelling on them. :)

:smt012That topic is both fascinating and troubling. I like to study this stuff, but the reality is that we simply have to pray and tighten up our own personal walk with Yeshua.

However, Arch is correct, its about the end of an Age rather than the world. What that entails (if true) will remain a mystery until it comes to pass.

I have a friend who's Black and Muslim, but he's not NOI (Nation of Islam to the unknowing). My friend practices the same teachings as lets say an Arab would. He doesn't really date IR, but he finds non-Blk women attractive, but I assume he feels more comfy dealing with sistas.

I agree TC, sometimes our problems seem huge when in fact what we have to be thankful for eclipses all else. When my outlook needs an adjustment, It is Well with My Soul is my favorite. My grandfather used to sing it to me when I was a child. This isn't my favorite rendition, but it tells the story of the man who wrote it, and it's just amazing and incredibly inspirational to me.

I have this one on my cardio list, because it's got the right beat and timing for interval training, so I listen to it just about everyday. Be forewarned, my mother calls it 'noise' LOL, but it's great workout music IMO.

    My Evolution...

I was raised or labeled as a Baptist by association. However, given from my years in the Archdiocese education system (surprisingly secular), I've evolved my thoughts into the philosophy of Atheism. And this all started in fourth grade, in the mass, and me looking up at the gigantic statue of Jesus nailed to the cross. As I walked out of the place, I extended my middle finger and gave my salute and said, "Fuck you, Jesus." And then I turned and walked off.

From there, it was a quest to seek the new measurable phenomenon and basically construct my ideas through logical understanding of the world and how it all works. It fully seeped into my mind when I was a junior in high school and, while still in the "larve" stage of conscience nontheistic thinking, I formed my thoughts as to why people believe what they believe and I realized that we, as humans, are very much fascinated with the unknown and fear.

    Thus I conclude the following:

    1. There is no God, nor gods.
    2. There are no spirits, demons, angels.
    3. Beyond our existence is unknowable, but more likely nonexistence.
    4. We simply live our lives accordingly.
    5. Religion is a marketing scheme.
