people are born amoral and learn what it means to be 'good,' from their parents and society in general, based upon their system of beliefs. People become 'corrupt,' when they start acting upon beliefs shared by a different layer of society, which conflicts with what they learned previously.

 

hence why the prison system in the usa is fucked up.
