Yes, I always forget myself Agreed the only thing is that sometimes you get very NICE rep msgs and you have NO IDEA who they came from! I trip! lol
LOL! thanks whoever you are (for the person who "repped" me) Hey, what does it mean when the rep little square is grey?
It means they don't have rep points to give. So it's a brand-new member or someone who has never posted before. ;-)
Your statement would imply somethings that you didn't verbalize. There is some type of "formula" for attaining "rep," and or you have to post something of "meaning/substance" for your post to be "repable"/reputable, no?
Oh heck no, I had no idea it was so critical for Britty. We may have to start a "More Air for Britty" campaign. :smt081
:smt005 *Blinks away her tears* You two will never know what this means to me. *Inhales deeply* Nothing else like it.
lippy remembers when we first started the rep system...or maybe it was already in place when i came back after a break but you always wanted to be the top of the rep list...saty at the time had the most rep power...you would ask him when he could rep you again...that was such a fun silly time... you are just too cute britty:smt006
there is a formula to rep...for every 500 posts you get a rep point so people that post alot gain rep quickly even if the posts are just co-signs... you also get a point for every year you have been on the forum then you get rep points from other members leading to the little green boxes...the rep points are in your user box when you scroll down to look at the comments...every time you get another green box you get an addition point to give to the other members... you can go to the member list to see who is on top by hitting reputation...i think flying geek is at the top right now... just an fyi
It's a divisive tool implemented by the creator of this website to control the minds of the minions who peruse this forum. We've been lead to believe that getting and spreading "rep" would be a way to create harmony amoungst the forum members when in fact nothing could be further from the truth. The term "rep", obviously an abbreviation of reputation, means supposedly adding to or subtracting from the standing of a forum member. Quite frankly, it's unnecessary as no member with a brain would "rep" someone who's trolling the forum. If negative "rep" isn't used, it therefore lessens the potency of so called positive "rep". There must be yin with yang, fire with water, thunder with lightening, as well as good with evil. "Rep" is stupid, pointless, and harmful. But I still use it
co-sign...should i give you rep for that? do you want positive or negative? or how about this do you like red or green better?
Both! I'm a "rep" chaser, peddler and hoarder. It's ironic that when first mentioned, I was all for it. Now? Nah. "Rep" can go the way of thread tags and dinosuars as far as I'm concerned.
Yes, I remember those days. I was usually at the top. Then I had to explain to everyone how to view who is at the top of the rep list. I remember when I would get down to second, third, fourth, or *gasp* fifth place, Saty, with the highest rep power, would always rep me and put me back up there.
