I'd wager a bet that the beautiful women posted in this thread and those similar in size would not be considerably less healthy than yourself or any other thinner person. It's not like they're morbidly obese and unfit. I reckon they'd be living very healthy lifestyles. It IS possible to be overweight and still healthy and fit, you know. I used to work at a gym and I knew HEAPS of bigger girls who were faaaaaar more physically fit than their thinner counterparts. You're right, it's all about lifestyle and what works for you.

I'm with you 100%, live a healthy lifestyle, be happy and comfortable with who you are, and if you've still got killer curves then power to ya! :D

Is there a doctor in the house to confirm this please. And I wish people would stop taking the people who are ten lbs over weight and use that for a standard of people who are overweight and in shape. There is a reason why they have bmi charts. I think the best standard of how people should look is most western european countries where the people are healthy and not starving themselves. We over eat in this country and not only do we over eat we eat the wrong food. I wish people would stop pretending and stop trying to make people who lack will power and motivation feel ok about being lazy. Geesh.

Well the discussion we were having was based around the kinds of women we're referring to in this thread (i.e. the examples that have been posted and women of similar stature). At least that was my understanding. No one's pretending anything. I guarantee those women have plenty of will power and motivation to keep their bodies in such spectacular shape. Bodies like that don't happen accidentally.

And we really need to get over the idea of "chubby chasing" or appreciating bigger women means you're into ugly, obese women like Rosanne Barr or Kathy Bates!! There are so many deliciously beautiful curvy women out there that most men would only dream of bedding.

i agree... these clowns talkin all this "healthy" talk. just because someone is slim doesn't make them healthy. i have slim friends that just aren't able to gain weight. they eat all kinds of crazy junk, in boatloads. farthest thing from healthy. body size does not equal health. now if someone is morbidly obese, that is another story... but we are not celebrating those type of bodies here... this is the goodie good of the larger size. maybe this thread should be called amazon women. i am definitely into that. hahaha

so you are now, officially inducted into... the player haters society.

Sorry Whikle but I have to disagree on this. First allow me to say I have no issue with anyone being the size they want to be, if they're happy then more power to them. However, there are some pics of women in this thread who certainly qualify as obese and some probably qualify as morbidly obese (100 pounds over ideal body weight). Now ideal body weight is still typically calculated based upon antiquated height to weight tables, however even if you bump it up a bit some of the women posted here would still be obese to morbidly obese. I think people have an image in their head of a 600 pound person as morbidly obese, but that's just not accurate. Someone can be 250 pounds and be considered morbidly obese medically. I'm not trying to be mean, just pointing out the facts.

As for whether they are unhealthy or not, that depends. There are thin people who are less healthy than some overweight people. However in general, at the point a person becomes obese, there are a number of health issues that typically arise such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol & triglycerides, plaque build up in their arteries, and diabetes. I worked in a medical practice and I can't count the number of times someone would come in with a host of medical issues that would completely resolve once they lost weight and were no longer obese. IMO the human body was designed to run like a machine, the brain takes input and adjusts the bodies hormones, chemicals, and processes accordingly. It wants to operate in homeostasis, and when your are markedly overweight that doesn't happen so all sorts of side effects, like those mentioned above, occur.

I understand that there are people who have medical issues that make maintaining a healthy weight more difficult, and I completely understand that not every overweight person ate themselves that way, but lets face facts, the vast majority of them did. The people who do that and then refuse to acknowledge that they choose to be that way really piss me off. I have several family members who are entirely too overweight and it never ceases to amaze me to listen to them go on and on about how they just can't seem to lose weight. Hello, the only exercise you're getting is lifting a fork, and you're doing that entirely too often, of course you can't lose weight. I'm sorry I know that probably sounds incredibly mean, but all most people like that need is a little will power, so sitting around complaining about it is not only useless it's ignorant when they have the answer staring them in the face. That's not just the case with weight either, people willingly do all sorts of stupid things that compromise their health. I think FRESH mentioned smoking, and that's a major pet peeve of mine because my mother and both sisters smoke. I see that as them being frivolous with their health, and I don't understand that type of selfish mindset at all. Naturally they bitch too and refuse to see a correlation between poor health and smoking. My mother probably has some type of sinus issue 6 months out of the year and she's always complaining about why she can't seem to stay well... Gee I don't know, what could it be... all the carbon monoxide you're sucking into your body perhaps? That usually gets me hung up on because she doesn't want to hear that the problem is completely within her control, again another issue of lack of will power and I think people just don't like to be told they're weak? For some reason it's a lot easier to believe that it's just completely out of their control, which is another mindset that I just can't appreciate. Cause and effect is a simple concept to grasp.

Well that turned into a rant, I supposed I should know better than to reply on a subject that irritates me when I'm already in a bad mood. Ironically I'm typing this right before heading out to the gym to do cardio and abs, because regardless of what anyone else chooses, I choose to work to be healthy. If other people choose not to, that's their business, just don't whine to me if it's within your control to change.

AS suck a dick fam. I never said anything about being chiseled and looking like a model and never used myself as the standard of beauty. I objectively identified a problem. So in closing like I said before go suck a dick.

You're entitled to your opinion and everyone else is entitled to theirs. I'm not hatin' on anyone, just stating medically known facts. As I said if someone is morbidly obese and happily willing to accept any health issues that go along with that, then more power to them. Sadly, that's not what I see around me. But again, I really don't give a flying f**k what other people do, the only person I'm in charge of is me.

hahaha... thank you for crossing the line. you've been a clown on here for months. i kept trying to allow you space, but that time is over. you are a corny 2-bit bamma. talkin a lot of shit about what you won't put up with when it comes to women... well reality is, young fool, real - good - true - sexy - women don't want to be bothered with a lame like you anyway. but hey, i ain't mad at cha... keep rollin down your cobblestone road. you may even find the flintstone woman you desire. at the end of the day, i could care less. but do understand that (1) you make no sense, and (2) you contradict yourself constantly. anyone worth a damn will not put up with that. step your lame up, ronald.

    hahaha
