"Products of an interracial relationship"? Like being a "product" makes a person fucking Frankenstein. And she talks about insulting intelligence. She made herself sound racist and ignorant as fuck. Fuck that stupid ass bitch. And I'm tired of this "good black women/good black men" bullshit. If you're so good lady, get your stupid ass on the cover. If Reggie is a white supremacist, I wanna know what the sista who wrote that shit is.

I could see if they were talking aobut the lopsidedness of famous brothas
gettin with white women versus famous white women gettin with black men. I never got that ratio evne though Iam a supporter, but then again folks dating life is none of my business.

The good thing is that reggie still has alot of sistas that love him
they be going crazy for him on BlackPlanet and twitter... SO it is like I
have always said... RACIST women not black women.

And lastly interracial has been in this country for over 100 years, if NO ONE is use to it by now, I say get the fuck out the country.

    ESSENCE

Essence is a black woman's magazine that is suppose to cater to black women. I can understand why supporters of this magazine were upset. Black women are deemed not relationship worthy. For this magazine to put a black man who doesn't even date black women is a slap in the face to its fan base. Its a slap in the face because the magazine theme for the February issue was about love for black women. There were so other many other choices......for example, I would have loooved to have Robin Thicke on the issue instead:smt118.

it's not just a magazine, this is ESSENCE magazine but I really don't expect you to understand the significance of this magazine to the black community, not saying that to be mean but for you just call it a magazine shows that you have no idea what ESSENCE is all about

the section that reggie bush is featured in is about the sexiest black men...why do the sexiest black men that were chosen have to be in a relationship with black women? he isn't even mentioned in the relationship section? did you read the magazine?

I see what you are implying but again this is ESSENCE magazine, this magazine is targeted to black women, the magazine should have had a sexy male celebrity that black women can relate to. I thought Robin Thicke would have been perfect because he is what's buzzing to the black females these days, I bet they would have sold double the amount of mags than Reggie Bush. Again this is a "black woman's magazine"

And no, I did not buy this issue because I don't support the magazine putting Reggie on there either, but I have bought several Essence Mags in the past enough to know that this was a slap in the face, I heard that the magazine is under new management, I will not support this magazine if it does not support its fan base

Just look around. PPl will be bias towards others simply because they are black or female (white or black). Well try being black AND female, that is why we black women are known to be mentally strong, because we have no choice but to be if we want to survive in this society.

the man is gorgeous...i would think that even if he was with a black woman...his body is amazing...he has been a great roll model for young kids...he does alot of volunteering...his team won the superbowl...personally i think that the magazine made a great choice

do you know that stats on how many issues were sold vs say the jan. issue or previous issues? if not, you have no grounds to state that more copies would have sold with another cover model...

what is essence magazines demographic other than just saying bw? what age group? how many subscriptions? do those subscriptions actually go to residences or to every black salon in the usa...how many copies actually sell off the newstand?
