I never watch "Private Practice", but happened to catch it last night and saw that they seem to be pursuing a romance between Taye Diggs' character and Kate Walsh's character See the scene here
Seems that they keep almost going there. I find that hip hop style beat they play in the background during the kiss to be interesting
I love love love love love love love LOVE Private Practice. It's one of my favourite shows. I hope they do decide on letting that romance happen. I'd love to see it, they're my two favourite characters in the show.
There is something exciting to see the buildup in a IR relationship especially if it presents an intelligent flavor of two characters who do not fit the mold of the pimp/whore that so much of Hollywood like to depict the BM/WW relationship. Here you have two extremely intelligent people (WW/BM) who are exploring the delicate birth of something neither can get their hands on and that is the possiblility of an intimate relationship that will change their lives forever. I wish this site would do more in exploring the historical, social, and psychological dynamics of the WW/BM relationship in all of it's dimensions and not just it's sexual component. What I like to see is a truly intelligent and thought provoking movie or series about WW/BM during the Jim Crow era and the antebellum South. Imagine the untold stories of WW/BM relationships that defied the social order of those times. Imagine the love, the hate, the success, the failures of the WW/BM relationship. A black man who truly loves his white mate will give his life for her. A white woman who truly loves her black lover would take on any threat or scorn.
I was wondering when Taye Diggs would do what we were expecting him to do. If history is any indicator, Taye is definitely going to have an IR relationship on this show or any other show hes in.
