I'm noticing there's a lot of german here. Why is that? Should I pick up the language?

    - Hi, how are thing? Have you been up to much lately?

I hateeee Doric haha, I could speak much more but it just sounds silly to me. Where I live everyone speaks like that though. It sounds like a foreign language to people not from here lol.

  7. I got everything without thinking first time, except 'bluing', that one totally threw me...

I remember having an Aussie as new Head of Group Ops a few contracts back, very nice old chap, I was quite startled a few weeks after meeting him, walked in one morning for a breakfast meeting and he startled me with, "G'Day, Jaybee".

"Good day!" sounds very old-fashioned here, and it's contraction to G'day is something we only hear on the Paul Hogan show or whatnot...doesn't seem like much to you, but it was quite a shock hearing it out loud, first thing in the morning.

"G'day, Harley!" I replied, the entire room burst out laughing...luckily my contract got renewed despite the risque reply.

lol...i must admit that it is very rare for me to hear a g'day out of the mouth of any of my friends. it's more something my english father would say

    For sure..

Well then, as good food is one of my favourite topics, I'd like to discuss it, especially German food. Here in London there are restaurants that offer a very wide cultural variety of foods, but astonishingly for a city of 7 million there are only 2 or 3 German restaurants!!

Do you like your country's cuisine? If so, what your favourite dishes in it?

Ok, you want me to correct it, now, am I right?

The german kitchen is not really famous, except maybe Weisswürste and Schweinhax´n...or maybe the Wieners, Soulthinker mentioned last time..

But it is definitly not bad. After I was living in different countries my kitchen is multi-cultural, too..from my ex mother-in-law a real woman from Napoli, I learnt the original italian cucina, here in Switzerland you automatically learn something about french and swiss kitchen.

I love Tafelspitz(Austrian kitchen), Züri´gschnetzeltes,Leberspatz´n, Pasta alla italiana, Sulz- sorry guys, no chance to translate- you have to taste in my house,I am no friend of a 7 plate menue (didn´t find the word in english)..I hope I confused you enough:D
