For honorable mentions got to put up.... Black Or White - One of the very few songs with enough clout to say it bridged the gap in racial lines
I have too many favs to post but I do have some special memories of a few of his songs. When my oldest was a baby and difficult to soothe I would put on a Jackson 5 CD and dance around with him. ABC 123 and I Want You Back would always do the trick. When my second two children were 3 and not quite one, we'd drop my oldest at Kindergarten and come home. I'd put the baby in his exersaucer and turn on my MJ greatest hits CD. My middle son would beg to hear Billie Jean over and over and would dance around while I did my cleaning. Those three songs always bring back memories for me.
Those are some awesome memories Ali. Yesterday, the radio station was playing all of his music, and I picked up my 6-year old from summer camp and "Thriller" came on (the last song they played in the tribute) and she piped up and said, "mommy I know this song". I said, "you do? How?" She said, "13 Going on 30". LOL!! I completely forgot they did a whole scene with that song. Not to mention growing up in the Thriller album (yes album not CD) era and having many of my childhood memories tied to his and Jackson 5's music. :smt023 I'm listening to his music right now.
The type of song you would have on if you were trying to snuggle with your boo. Do you hear me Flyingeek? Baby Be Mine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tw0Y2cdF0T0
Don't stop til you get enough Rock with you Beat it Will you be there Human Nature PYT (Pretty Young Thing) All some of my favorites. I'm still in complete and utter shock, and can't believe Mike is gone forever, but like you said Kenny, it's important to try and celebrate his life instead of mourning. He most definitely deserves to be celebrated.
Here's a song that you probably never ever heard. It was an unreleased track that ended up on the cutting room floor from the "Thriller" album. The name of the song is "Carousel". It's really nice. Michael Jackson- Carousel (Unreleased) http://www.zshare.net/audio/61899649da682905/ More tracks to come later, or I may just end up posting entire albums.

I can't help it, but something that really bothers me is the fact that so many people are celebrating his life now that he's dead. When he was alive, he was ridiculed, and nobody wanted anything to do with him. Why do people become legends once they die? Why can't people appreciate them while they're still alive? I'm not saying this to you all, just to all the people in the world who are now bumping his music and putting his posters up on their walls now that he's dead. Makes no sense to me why they wouldn't appreciate the guy while he was still alive. Oh well....end rant.
