It looks really fake but, I still wanna see it. The director (Roland Emmerich) of Deep Impact and Independence day did the movie. I like end of the world movies that seem somewhat real. That movie 'Knowing' sucked. Same with 'The Day The Earth Stood Still'. Terrible.
I agree 100%. There are too many movies that go overboard with CGI. CGI is good in small portions, but these companies make the mistake of thinking more is better, which it's not.
Looks great. I also love end of the world movies. Most on the board are too young to know, but growing up as kids during the cold war we were all subject to apocolypic nuclear war scenarios. Complete with monthly bomb raid drills at school. LOL
I think Hollywood has forgotten that their job is story telling. Many of these movies have been done before over and over again nothing original that's why independent film is so important. 2012 looks like the day after tomorrow and everyone know how much that movie sucked. And I can't wait until 2012 is here and gone because I'm so sick of these new age freaks talking about the mayan calender and the end of the world.
