We aren't saying that online dating is a bad thing GZ. We're saying that there tends to be alot of talk with very little follow-through to the actual meeting part of the "dating".

These people would just rather play with other peoples' emotions than actually find someone to get into a relationship with. And like I said earlier, if BOTH people involved are on the same page, who cares what happens. But if only ONE person is "in on it", then that person is an e-player, and it's not a fun experience for the person on the receiving end.

Back in high school (8 hundred million years ago), I had a friend with not the greatest self esteem. Whenever we were at a party, if any of us started flirting with a guy, she'd have a breakdown in the bathroom. It wasn't even cockblocking, it was like kiss blocking, we'd be 3 seconds into infatuation and then some random girl would show up saying "You know your friend is sobbing in the bathroom. She asked me to send you back there." Then, you're stuck either going back to the bathroom to comfort her for whatthehellever she was upset about this time, or look like a total bitch who doesn't care about her friends to the guy.

She did that to me when I was chasing my still-current man, and it was the first time I blew her off. He said "Don't you want to check on her?" I said "No. She does this EVERY time." He said "Man, that's cold." It almost messed things up between us, but he stuck around anyway, and a couple weeks later he saw her pull the same thing on another friend, and he realized I was telling the truth.

I agree 100%. I have met my recent guy online, but we live down the road from each other...the relationship has come off the internet now.

 

Such stuff happens all the time..Friends of friends of friends call to tell you nonsense. Some are careful, always with an ? at the end of a statement, others are just rude and direct. I am always telling them, that I record all calls, so would they please repeat? Who believes, what they say?
