Got to love the body language of J.R. Smith after Kobe hits that clutch shot at the 5:32 mark. Perfect dejection. Great win for the Lakers last night. And you all remember this day, because it might be the last time it happens, but i give Kobe much credit for his performance yesterday. That was probably the finest performance i've ever seen out of him. Not the 81 point game, not the 61 point game, but this game. He singlehandedly beat the Nuggets on the road in a building that they've won 16 straight games in, and that was more than impressive. Much props to Kobe and the Lakers for a great road win.
OK, the Cavs hopes for a title all but vanished tonight. I am a witness. Statistically, in the NBA when a team wins games 1 and 3 of a series, they usually take the series. Lakers and Magic meet in the Finals and the Lake Show goes 4-2 to take the championship.
See, this is the reason why i always bash Kobe and the Lakers, because of fans like you. Ajax, and L.A are great Laker fans, but you're just the worst kind of homer. For once, i finally give him props for an outstanding performance, and you instantly make me regret doing that. Fans like you are the reason why people never give Kobe the credit he deserves. I thought the question-dodging you recently did was enough to make you not wanna start with me, but i thought wrong. I may suck at predictions (i even suck at NFL) predictions, but i know the game of basketball like the back of my hand, and will gladly debate with you, anything NBA related. How about we continue where we left off, by you answering my question of how Kobe Bryant is a better offensive player than Carmelo Anthony skill wise? I'm still waiting on that answer. Let's see if you dodge it twice.
LOL....that's strike 3. It's the 3rd time you've dodged the question. I'm now convinced that you know absolutely nothing about the game of basketball. So, with that said, there's nothing else to see here. I've proved my point. Carry on.
Its not like Denver is a shitty team. We don't penetrate the hole enough. Denver does that all day long. We're going to win the series. I'm interested in seeing who takes the Eastern Conference Finals.
Man, this Denver team is for real. When they get their swagger on, ain't no stopping them at all. Honestly at this point, i'll rather have LA play Cleveland in the Finals than Orlando. They're slept on as hell, but when their defense is on overtime, its hard to get your shots falling against them. And to me, there's nothing worse than having a big man surrounded with four shooters. That makes him impossible to guard because then he'll literally rape you in the paint. I know Lebron is superb and blah blah blah, but the Lakers can play good D against the Cavs when they make an effort. If Bynum and Odom dont step up, the Lakers might not even make the Finals.
Wow. When I think of the Denver Nuggets I see Alex English and Dan Issel putting up buckets for days with no D. Now they have Birdman blocking shots, K-mart putting the body on people, Billups working the floor... They're pretty good.
I don't see Cleveland coming out with a win tonight. If they do, I will be suprised. I'm not sure how good of a team they are on the road but I'd say the Orlando Magic is a better team on the road than Cleveland. That being said, the series should be at 3-1 after tonight. Things are not looking good for Cleveland, IMO. Let's not forget the 1 second hail mary LeBron James made to prevent them from being possibly swept in tonight's Game 4.
OK, the Lakers need to be decisive tomorrow and game 6 to set a date for meeting the Magic on June 4th, game 1 of the NBA Finals.
