As a Christian, I admit that I have a strong porn addiction. Yesterday I asked my brother if I could borrow a DVD, which contained interracial porn (which I like). Regretfully, I took two more DVDs behind his back. Now I'm thinking of giving them back as well as all my old porn videos and magazines. Is that one way to overcome porn addictions? What would you do if you were in this situation?
Hmm.. well.. I'm no expert but I'll put in my .02 cents. First, you should give back the extra two you already took. He did you a favor and you still took advantage of him. Second, if you want your porn addiction to overcome your porn addiction you're going to have to get rid of all your porn. Don't go searching for it on the web, either. Also, cut back on the masturbating. Since you said you're Christian, pray about it and meditate on it whenever you feel the temptation.
Nothing wrong with porn and give back his DVDs when you are finished with them, just try not to scratch them. I'm all for porn, if it stops you going out and hurting people it's all good. Just try not to make it a substitute for the real thing, occasionaly go out and try to get some real sex, your due to luck out at some point.
Of course, I suggest addiction therapy but if that's not something you're interested in try self-help books dealing with porn addiction. What makes you think you are addicted? One can overcome a porn addiction, but as with other addictions you have to take it day by day and therapy can help you do that.
Dude get over it. Porn is not a crime and don't let someone rope you into thinking that it is. If you wanna watch it, cool. Do what you do in the privacy of your own home. There are far worse Christians than you might be, trust me. Stop feeling guilty about what appears to be your hobby. However it woud be wise to give your brother his DVD's back, that was actually where you messed up.
Just a guess but him stealing from his brother takes it into the unhealthy addiction area. Check your church for resources. They probably have addiction counseling.
No one is calling him a sinner for liking porn. It's the possible addiction that's the problem. Enjoying porn and having a porn addiction are two very different things.
If I were in your position, I wouldn't be borrowing dvds. I can find porn links anywhere, thanks to megaupload, rapidshare, torrents, tube8, etc. :smt025 But yeah, that's one way to break you addiction, I would think. Getting rid of all your shit. I've got some hot ass scenes I would never want to get rid of. *skeet skeet muthafucka* I'd give the stuff back.
