When i went to Russia, i came down with THE worst case of tonsillitis. I mean, it was so bad to the point where, i was still suffering with it 3 months after i returned home. Doctor after doctor, antibiotic after antibiotic, steroid shots, throat swabs, etc..... nothing worked. After going through all that, what finally worked for me was prayer, and Grapefruit Seed Extract. I was reading online for some herbal remedies, and numerous people who suffered with Tonsillitis recommended it, because it works as a natural antibiotic, without side effects. What you do is, go to any herbal store, and buy the Grapefruit Seed Extract in Liquid form. It's very powerful stuff, so you'll only need 10 small drops in a 6 oz glass of water. After you stir it in real good (that's important, because it will leave a weird taste in your mouth) you gargle it until the whole glass is gone. Also, because it's derived from a fruit, it's safe to drink after each gargle. I don't know for sure if it will work for you, but i think it's at least worth a try. After doing some praying/having numerous people pray for me, and after using the seed extract for about 3 days, i got better, and have been better for a while now. Good luck
Wow, that's crazy. When i was suffering with it, each and every doctor i went to kept giving me the complete runaround. Nobody knew what they were doing, and nobody really knew how to help me. I mean, what are they getting paid for exactly? Now i have a $1,500 hospital bill, with nothing to show for it. $500 dollars for a throat swab? LOL....the healthcare in this country sucks. Oh, and i had about 4 or 5 flareups in about 2 1/2 months. It came back every 10 or 15 days. I couldn't eat, drink, or talk. It was the most miserable experience of my entire life. I can only imagine how you're feeling, having to go through it for 22 years. Wow, my thoughts and prayers really go out to you. Hang in there.
Why didn't he get the visa Sin Mari? It is good that at least you two are able to be together. That's wonderful.
thanks! I will try that! I'm down to try anything! I didn't like what the doctor gave me to take so i am taking other stuff now and hopefully it will get better, if not I have to have a blood test on Thursday I have been told to rest and get lots of TLC & chicken soup!! lol also more pictures to make me laugh... *looks at los angeles*
Sorry to hear it Sin. I would like to travel to Africa. I have been to Morocco and Egypt, but that is all. My days off are coming up and my plans are to go to Chicago and eat at the Ralph Lauren restraunt and visit the Field Museum. But that has been my plan for 3 weeks now and I always end up working...
Because he comes from a poor country. They said the bad world wide economics, combined with the poor country of origin, to them means he won't want to go back to Africa after his trip. They consider anyone from Kenya a risk..apparently. Unless they're filthy rich of course. *sigh* Australia is a bitch to get into if you're not rich. But I can get into Kenya, no problem. So, guess I'll have to suck it up and live over there after all. Not my ideal place to live...very poor, unlikely to live anywhere with electricity or indoor plumbing...but people can live without that. I suppose. Ok...yeah, I'll have to move him closer to a city I think.
Absolutely. I have a friend from Scotland who's married to an Australian lady. They have a house, everything..and whilst there was no problem with him getting a visa to stay, he had all sorts of other problems...It's both crazy and useful...But for you, probably just annoying as hell... If you guys got married, couldn't he come to live then? Which part of Kenya is he in? And where did you guys meet. I agree - African accents are the best (referring to your comment in another thread)
Hey, Beautiful. I just read this post. Take good care of yourself. I hope you are feeling much better.

If we got married it might make it a little easier, but won't guarantee anything. We actually are engaged so will be getting married soon anyway (in Kenya now). He's in central Kenya, in a place called Naro Moru, at the bottom of Mt. Kenya. We met on a community project I did in Kenya. He's the best. :smt058 Sorry for the late responce FEHG, I forgot where this thread was. LOL!
I just finished my first round of classes (with A's!) and have started the next. I just wanted to publicly encourage those that I have tried to encourage privately about school. Truly, if I can go back 20+ years later and do it at this point in life... with 4 children, work, getting ready to move...anyone can! Time goes by so quickly. Do what it takes and get in there and get going. You will be well into it before you know it. I mean I can't believe I've finished a round already.
I think I have the internet again! Mostly moved into my new apartment (got shoved in with roommates cause my loans won't pay for a private student housing apartment anymore) and there's a connection I can jack here, so I hope it lasts! I like my roommates. We were friends first, so moving in here hasn't been too bad. Kinda odd since I'm used to living alone, but hopefully it'll be all good. We're all potheads, so I think we'll get along famously.
