Im black not in the KKK and definitely going, and there are others who are black adn other races going. dont knwo what peacebly assembling to air grievances has to do with the KKK-i guess the Inauguration was a KKK meeting by that standard.

Has anyone seen the Rachel Maddow Show on the reason of this "tea party"? She has this interviewer ask if they think Obama is American and most replied that he is born in Kenya. Also,had you noticed most all of them are lily white?

 

Don't be fooled, there are many African-American tapdancers who agree with the conservative line, a few on this very board.

 

You know most of the black conservatives (the ones that are left in the GOP) remind me of the black guy in a car of white guys passing you on the street at night. All the white guys shout "n*gg*r" from the moving car and you can see the black guy ducking down smiling and hoping that you cannot see him.

This Tea Bagging is a ploy from the conservatives to charge up their base and independents the next two to four years to get back into power.

 

Good luck with that. Obama ate deep into RNC territory with his November win and the stimulus is just now creeping into people's paychecks. Unless the Repubs start a) coming up with actual solutions and b) oust the same tired faces (Gingrich, Rove, etc.) and the circus clowns (Jindal, Palin, Steele, etc.) they won't stand a chance anytime soon.

Everyone seems ready to proclaim the death of the GOP. But conservative ideologues have managed to get a bunch of people all worked up about this tea party phenomenon, while pushing policies that would be detrimental to the overwhelming majority of the people going to these "parties."

The main item tea party organizers are rallying behind (because they don't want to associate themselves with the racist, gun-toting, "Obama was born in Kenya" crowd that is promoting these protests) is taxation.
