Hi Rinnaye, it is possible that my affinity to black men because of the sex (at first) may be a turn off for some. However, I don't use it as a pick-up line, or ever have it come up in conversation as one of the reasons "i would like to get with you." That's the difference. My sex reason is my own little hidden reason if you will, not something I toot around.

I also don't bash my white men about their lack of sexual prowess...In the same token, I think it is in bad taste for black men to disrespect and generalize all black women. That's an automatic turn off in my eyes, especially if they have a black mom, sisters, and other black females in their lives. I would love a man to respect the women that helped shaped them, as I see that as a strong reason why they would respect me as a women first and foremost.

    Hi YogaGirl, thanks for replying.

Hummm, well it seems your sex reason is not so "hidden" in this thread, now is it. May I ask, what's the difference in tooting such things here, and/or displaying them before some beau? And, is there ever an appropriate time to be offensive? Or should us forum brothas not be offended, since you're not intending to get with any of us anyways. Lastly, why not be honest with him, you should share your reasons, wouldn't you want him to be up front with you?

    Just asking...

I do agree with you there, bad taste comments are always a turn off.

I like that fact that most BM are sure of themselves and often take what they want, when the want it. But there is also a fine like that I have also gotten respect form the BM I have dated. Its hard to explain but there is a something on a different plane that they can take me whenever they want, however they want but they also seem to know when to leave me alone.

Like I said hard to explain but it feels right for "me" and that is what counts.

I have a lot of spare time to ponder the universe at the moment (think about gorgeous black men)...and, there's something in the way they can look at you. He can just look at me, and his eyes see something in me that no-one else can see.

It's a whole package. It's the attitude, the smile, the body, the skin, the features...and for me, he has to be intelligent and articulate. The BM I like take care of themselves - they always look great...But, there are white men with all of these features too...what is it about BLACK men? I don't know. But it's addictive. and I wish I had some right now! :D haha.

Note to self: work on that tan next summer! Seriously though, it's funny, my wife likes my darkness and I spent a lot of time at the beach this year actually working on my tan alongside her. I called it my "Seal summer".

Why I love my hubs, who happens to be black?

He cares about making me feel pretty and sexy, unlike most of the white men I've ever been with, who saw my beauty as something to be insanely jealous of, instead of proud of.

He's got the swagger. He dresses better than most of the white men I've ever known.

He takes me out dancing two if not three nights a week. He spends all of his money to make us have a great life. He was marriage minded, not languish-in-limbo-forever-minded.

He's more man (even when he's being a big baby) than any man I've ever known. He's opened up my eyes to a lot of great things about us both. He's makes me very proud to be with him, even though some people treat us like crap.

He's just all man, and now that I am *seeing* more black men around, I can't even look at white men. They just look like little boys to me, straight off the playground.

    Black men are MEN.

Well, I don't know what PCed means, but I agree with you about Black men being men. I don't know that that goes for all black men, but when comparing apples to apples they seem to be more masculine. Well educated black men vs well educated white men, and the uneducated as well.

There is a self confidence in them. I hate to generalize, but I wonder if the fight for civil rights, and the mothers teaching them to go for their dreams and never let anyone stop them, makes that difference.

That could also be why black women are so very strong, and also, to some appear more masculine, or more harsh anyway, and less feminine. (Just looking at some of what I've seen posted here.)

BTW - your man sounds like a wonderful guy! I wish you a long and happy life together.

Bit of a broad generalization there, but it's all good. Personally, I find WW to generally be more approachable. Approachability is very important for a man like myself.

Well, you can list all the esthetics you want, but what it really is . . . is a biological imperative for genetic diversity, to mate with one as different as possible in order to keep our species healthy. It's part of the primitive brain functions, related to our responses to pheromones.

    Yeah for the primitive brain!!

What is it about black men ...

    Confidence
Attitude - in a good way
they're more direct; they know what they want and they go after it.

Personally for me it was being made to feel beautiful and sexy for the first time. Something I never got from a white man ever. Feeling "accepted" for lack of a better term, just as I am.

Yes the contrast, to me as well, is so fucking HOT. Dark black on my pale white, aesthetically, is a big turn on. And YES the sex with BM is off the charts. Ofcourse there's more. Its the whole package, some things I can't even put into words.

I was always "into" white men but it took one experience with a black man (by chance; by fate) to turn me and it was for all the reasons above not just the best sex I've ever had. But that old saying is true -- once you go black you never go back. White men just don't get my bells ringing anymore.

    What nice words!

We are all too glad to have you!

Well now, if you don't mind explaining it, please tell us, how did that first black guy get you to try him out?
